Je bouwt stap voor stap aan je droomhuis van leem. Je maakt gebruik van natuurljke materialen zoals klei,leem en hout. De workshop Nyumba Ya Udongo is geschikt voor scholen en het bedrijfsleven (teambuilding). De workshop wordt geleid door Kali Mata en Ir. Enno Wiersma, leemarchitect. Afrikaans koken

Op een houtskoolvuur bereiden we een Afrikaanse maaltijd. Zittend op de grond genieten we van de maaltijd die in schalen geserveerd wordt. We eten met de handen, er zijn geen messen en vorken!

KANGA WORKSHOP & KANGA FASHION SHOW

Kanga is een kleurige omslagdoek (110 / 150 cm) met een swahili tekst er op. Met deze tekst breng je een boodschap over zonder er over te hoeven praten.

In deze workshop laten we dias zien hoe de kanga in Tanzania gedragen wordt,
maken we zelf een kanga en als sluitstuk is er de Kanga Fashion Show.

Setting: Onder een grote mangaboom in Gezaulole

Introductie

Hakuna Matatizo betekent 'geen probleem'. Het is een spel waarbij de deelnemers zich inleven in de rol van boerinnen, boeren en vissers in Tanzania. De vrouwen en mannen in dit spel voeren verschillende plattelandshuishoudingen in een dorp in Tanzania aan de Indische Oceaan.

De rol van elke deelnemer is op papier uitgeschreven. Zij zijn echter niet volledig van tevoren bepaald. De rol dient zich tijdens het spel verder te ontplooien door de creativiteit van de speler.

Setting

Een vergadering in het dorp, onder een grote mangoboom. Een aantal mensen zijn officieel uitgenodigd. Verder zijn er vrouwen, mannen en kinderen aanwezig die aan de zijkant meeluisteren.

Juliana lives in Gezaulole and has bought a piece of land with the aid of the Kali Mata Ki Jai! Foundation. She wants to build a mud house on it for herself but also for guests. In the workshop on Nyumba Ya Udongo we are going to build mud houses (with the help of a slide show). First we will make the mud from clay, sand and water. The house will be built under the professional guidance of a mud-architect and -artist. Preparing the daily meal is for Mama Asha a much time-and- energy-consuming activity. Let's look, for example, at the way the rice is prepared: before she can cook the rice in a pan over the charcoal fire (Jiko), she has to pound, clean and wash it first in the Kino. In the workshop on African cooking a meal will be prepared in this traditional African way. Later, of course, the meal will be eaten by all together on the Mkeke (mat). . KANGA WORKSHOP & KANGA FASHION SHOW Kanga is a colourful piece of cloth (110 / 150 cm) with a text on it.. By means of this text a message is delivered without the need to talk about it. After a slide show about the way the kanga is used in Tanzania we will design our own kanga. Finally we will have a Kanga Fashion Show. HAKUNA MATATIZO = NO PROBLEM Setting: Under a big mango tree in Gezaulole North-South Dialogue on Cultural Tourism Introduction: North-South Dialogue on cultural tourism is a simulation game in which participants take on the roles of female and male farmers. They are from various farm and fishing households in a village on the Indian Ocean, south of Dar es Salaam. The roles of the participants have been written in advance but are not complete. They should be filled in by simulating, dependent on the participants own creativity. The variables used in the game are based on research in Tanzania which has taken place since 1983. All resemblances are purely coincidental. Setting: A meeting in the village under a huge mango-tree. People are officially invited. There are men, women and children sitting and listening on the side. Objectives: The game is meant to get a better insight into the complex relationships between gender issues, socio-economic factors and cultural tourism. North-South Dialogue enables players to realize that gender issues are an important aspect of cultural tourism. Playing Hakuna Matatizo stimulates discussion on gender and cultural tourism. The Game exists of 4 parts: a relaxation exercise, a slideshow, choosing a khanga and playing the role.
